Sometimes I just can’t come up with something to write about, and these linkup parties are becoming more and more what my postings are. Until I get out of this massive study mode that I am in for work, I’m afraid this might be the norm for awhile . . . . That being said, we’re off to start a new week, so here’s joining the
- If you were stuck on an island what are the two material items you would want to have?
A toothbrush that had a never-ending supply of toothpaste magically appearing when needed, and my Kindle with a solar recharging cell. I think I have enough books to get me through a few years at least. - What are two TV shows you’d watch over and over?
Currently on air: The Big Bang Theory and Scandal. Previously on air: I’d love to say Firefly but I’m afraid with only thirteen episodes I’d not be able to last long. So let’s go with M*A*S*H and Sports Night. - If your house was on fire what two things aside from family, pets, etc would you grab?
My photographs and my diploma. - What are your two most favorite articles of clothing?
A black shirt that I wear at least once a week to work that is actually a pajama top. Oh so soft and comfortable. And another black vneck shirt that I got this past summer. Again, for comfort purposes. - What two movies that you saw in the past year would you recommend to us?
I saw Argo a few days ago with a friend. I have a vague memory of the Iran hostage crisis–yellow ribbons on the trees, a blue candle at Christmas, and watching the inauguration in 3rd grade with the announcement that the hostages had been let go. I had no clue about the Canadian Six. Fantastic movie, if hard to watch. Another that I think was horribly underrated was The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. I realize this was almost a year ago and that I have seen a ton of movies since then, but it was the little movie that could for me–and such a fantastic cast. I can’t believe that Maggie Smith didn’t get a supporting actress nomination for it. - What are your two biggest guilty pleasures?
At the moment, yarn and tea. I drink a ton of fluids (like two liters) every day, but I do not like plain water. I am on a mission in 2013 to clean out the house, and I have SO much tea. So I’ve been enjoying that. Only problem is I keep remembering why I haven’t drunk some of this stuff in a long while as it’s either really weak and needs a bigger tea ball for me to steep it at work, or it’s just plain gross. But still fun. And yarn. Lots of yummy, yummy yarn. And I could name a few other things, but we’ll stop at two!!
