It may be late in the day, but I didn’t forget! Movies have actually been on my mind a lot lately–basically because I own so many DVDs and don’t watch many anymore. So I’m trying to figure out which ones to keep and which ones to purge. Plus there are many that I own that I’ve never seen, so that’s first on the priority list!!! I’ve almost finished my conversion project, switching a bunch of VHS tapes to DVD format, so we’ll see how far I can take this ‘clean and toss’ mode I’m in!!!
This Weeks Questions:
1. What is your favorite movie of all time?
Do I really have to stop at just one? I mean Clueless is one that I can watch anytime, anywhere, with anyone. Girls Just Want to Have Fun is campy 80s at its finest. Rudy was an instant classic. The Avengers has some mighty fine eye candy in it. But for pure watching pleasure, I think I’m going to have to go with Amélie. So quirky. So fun.
2. What is your favorite movie quote?
Such a great topic. And some of my friends and I will throw quotes at one another all day long. So I’ll narrow it down to two:
“Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory lasts forever.” ~Shane Falco in The Replacements
“Two bits, four bits, six bits, a peso.” ~from Zorro, the Gay Blade
Okay, make that three quotes:
“I want peace on earth and goodwill toward men.” “We are the United States Government! We don’t do that sort of thing!” ~from Sneakers
Allright, one more:
“Y’all, I’m wild. I guess I’ve been wild all along, I just never new it.” ~Carson in Shag
Shoot, here’s the last one, I promise:
“I don’t believe in hell. I believe in UNEMPLOYMENT, but not hell.” ~from Tootsie
3. What is the best movie to watch for a girls night in?
See any of the above quoted or listed!
4. What is the best breakup movie?
War of the Roses. No matter how bad it is, it’s not THIS bad!
5. Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?
If I say Melissa McCarthy, I look like I’m jumping on the bandwagon. But I’ve loved her since her first appearance as Sookie!
6. Which movie star’s closet would you want to raid?
The prerequisite is that I also want to be able to fit into it. Tori Spelling. She just always looks so comfortable in those big flowy things.
Loved Melissa McCarthy since Gilmore Girls too! They need to bring that show back… 🙂
