Looking ahead

I have truly missed blogging lately.  Too much time spent trying to ‘do everything’, and not enough time spent on things I care about.  I even got out of the habit of weekly link ups, and they were the only thing keeping the blogging habit going for awhile!  So here I am, a day late but hopefully not a dollar short, with this week’s entry for:

I am the queen of procrastination.

I really am.

I am supposed to be studying for my Series 7.  I have the book on my lap, the STC website up on my browser, . . . and it’s taken me almost three hours (or more) to answer 50 questions because I just. don’t. want. to.

But my test is in ten days.

And I’m on chapter 11 of my review.

So I need to study.

But then I remembered tomorrow is Sunday, and I can do Sunday Social!  Early this time, instead of on Monday as I have been doing because I’ve been so swamped I can’t remember to do it on Sundays.

So here we go!

Fundamentals of life

Happy Sunday Social on Monday day!  Yes, I know, I’m late.  But I’m trying!  I spent yesterday driving 80 miles to take my 91 year old grandmother to lunch.  We had a nice visit, but I was so exhausted after church, driving, eating, visiting, driving, and regular Sunday dinner that I couldn’t do squat on the computer! 🙂

When I was a tween . . . .

Usually I try very hard to forget most of those years.  What I remember most is working hard, tons of homework, and hating life in general.  It wasn’t a good time for my family or for me.  Like REALLY not a good time for the family or for me.  I am just so thankful that I got through it.

Hodgepodge Dilemma

I am back to the Hodgepodge after another hiatus.  I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’m experiencing more and more of them as fall descends upon us and as we get into the holiday grind.  Yes, I said holiday grind.  It’s started, people.  Not only is fourth quarter the busiest time of the year for me at work, but at church? With the big event that we have every year?  And I mean big–300 people on stage, even more backstage/volunteering.  And so worth it.  So today, I’m taking a moment to get back to some questions for reflection, and sharing in this week’s hodgepodge.  Plus, I have a dilemma that I have been pondering all week, and want your opinion.  So question 8 is the perfect place to ask!

1. What’s one thing you learned in September? Continue reading
